A task timer for those who become easily distracted by shiny objects. The task timer encourages working in 30 minutes periods of focus.

Design:
  • Built using Vue 3 and Electron.
  • The data is stored locally on your desktop PC using Sqlite3.
  • The project is open source and is available in Github

Which Way Is North

Lost in the woods? No problem. This standalone progressive web app can run without the internet. It uses GPS and the sun to determine North. Use browser menu to install as an app on your phone desktop.

Design:
  • Built using Nuxt3, Vite, @vite-pwa/nuxt, Typescript, Tailwind CSS and SunCalc.
  • Displays longitude, latitiude, sun altitude, and sun azimuth.
  • Deployed on netlify.

Barometer 80209

This is the barometric pressure for the last 7 days at zip code 80209.

Design:
  • A Raspberry Pi reads the pressure in my basement once per hour.
  • The data is posted to AWS Gateway, Lambda, and stored in DynamoDB.
  • The UI was built using Vue 3, Vite, Typescript, Chartjs, and Tailwind CSS.
  • The UI is stored in S3, behind CloudFront.
